Why search ranking is built into the code
Search optimisation is not an option you bolt onto a finished website. It is a way of building it. A site whose structure, headings, addresses and load time were considered from the first mockup ranks with little effort. A poorly structured one demands a permanent catch-up budget, and every correction costs more than it would have at the start.
A search engine does not judge your site on what it displays, but on what it understands.
Our approach always starts from a measured baseline: what is indexed, what is not, the queries the site already appears on, the real response time on mobile. Without those markers there is no way to tell later whether an action had any effect. Advising on search optimisation is part of our declared business object, not a service tacked on beside development.
Technical SEO: indexing, tags and performance
Title tags and descriptions, page structure, unique addresses, sitemap, robots file, structured data: none of it shows on screen, and yet all of it decides what gets indexed. These are the foundations, and they cost far less laid at design time than reworked afterwards.
Performance belongs to the same job. Search engines measure what a visitor actually experiences on mobile: images served in a modern format at the right size, long-term caching on versioned files, main content displayed without waiting. A slow page is penalised twice, by the ranking and by the visitor who leaves.
Heading structure is a good example. A clear outline, one main subject per page, levels that nest properly: an engine reads that framework before it reads the text itself. It is checked page by page, and it is one of the first things we look at on an existing site.
Another example is the title shown in search results, which is not the page title. It has limited room and has to be sized so the message fits whole. Many sites let the two blur together, and chance then decides what a searcher reads before clicking.
A third example is the gap between what a site declares and what a crawler actually reaches. The two diverge more often than people assume, and a page no path leads to does not exist for a search engine, however good it is. That diagnosis is part of the initial assessment.
Local SEO: being visible in the Eure (27)
For a company based in Evreux or in the Eure (27), most useful traffic comes from local queries. That works differently from national visibility, with its own levers and its own signals. A company that ranks well locally is often invisible on national queries, and that is perfectly rational: they are not the same customers.
Ranking on Google is not decided inside your pages alone. Inbound links, also called backlinks, carry weight, and keyword research decides what to write first rather than leaving it to chance. When a site changes address or technology, a migration carried out without losing earned rankingsprotects years of positioning. And if you do not know where you stand, an audit of your existing siteestablishes the starting point before you commit a single euro.
Content and internal linking
Technical work opens the door, content brings people in. A strategy of publishing blog articlesplaces your site on queries your homepage cannot target alone. If your market crosses the border, a correctly declared multilingual architecturekeeps your foreign-language version from staying invisible in results.
None of it holds without a sound foundation. A custom-built showcase websitestarts with these fundamentals in place, instead of rebuilding them afterwards.
