Which PHP and Symfony versions do you work with?

From PHP 5 to PHP 8 and from Symfony 2 to Symfony 7. I have followed every generation of the framework across projects, from Symfony 2 on IoT platforms to Symfony 6 today on a B2B SaaS platform. I back that practice with the official SensioLabs course Mastering Symfony 7, taken in 2026.

At Lenewblack I proposed the DDD and Clean Architecture choices, validated with the technical lead, then led the rework of the application architecture along those principles. The AnyCommerce API was also structured around DDD. On the theory side, I took the Clean Architecture and DDD course run by Sagexa in 2026.

Yes, the most significant being the migration from Symfony 3 to 6.4 and PHP 7.1 to 8.1 on a production SaaS platform, which brought load time down from roughly 6 seconds to roughly 2 seconds. I have also written user data migration scripts for a high-traffic e-commerce site, using RabbitMQ and Redis.

REST APIs run through nearly my whole career. At Tritux I built a subscriber management REST API for Tunisie Télécom. At Wevioo I designed the REST APIs of the Nordnet platforms. On Maisonsdumonde.com I developed features of the REST API in a microservices architecture. And at AnyCommerce I designed and documented the commercial management API with OpenAPI. On every one of those assignments I backed the APIs with unit and functional tests, mainly with PHPUnit.

Yes, in three different settings. On Maisonsdumonde.com I worked on commercial peak periods, those windows where an e-commerce site concentrates its traffic into a few hours, in a microservices architecture. On the AnyCommerce API, for an omnichannel retail SaaS vendor, scaling relied on asynchronous RabbitMQ processing and Redis caching, to move everything that could wait off the critical path. And the Marabout industrial IoT platform handled more than 1,000 requests per second under high-availability constraints. The levers stay the same: optimised database queries, caching, Elasticsearch indexing and asynchronous processing.
